Gregory Stanley Clowney

WINNSBORO – Gregory Stanley Clowney, 44, of Winnsboro passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020.  Born in Columbia, Greg was the son of Reba Strange “Sandy” Clowney and the late Benjamin Brice Clowney, Sr. 

He is survived by one brother, Benjamin B. Clowney, Jr. (Valerie) of Winnsboro; two sisters, Karen C. Shoemaker (Rocky) of Rock Hill and Katherine C. Bass (Johnny) of Winnsboro; and 4 nephews, 6 nieces, and 5 great nephews.

A 1994 graduate of Fairfield Central High school and member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Greg had a contagious smile and an infectious laugh.  He enjoyed woodworking like his father, fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He was always generous and ready to help family and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at Lebanon Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

    Another young soul gone too soon. Greg was always a good man, who was honorable, and led a strong moral and ethical life. He was trustworthy, and always a friend to those in need. He will be missed by all who knew him…RIP Greg
