Bengal girls go up 1-0 in early season play

BALLENTINE – Blythewood’s season opener was held Tuesday night at SCUFC against Chapin.

The Bengals, eager to get back to action after their 2020 season was nixed in the midst of the pandemic, struck first.

Sophomore Emery Christensen scored the only goal of the night on an assist from freshman Megan Tarnawsky.

Senior Macy Morgan had six saves in eighty minutes of play as the Bengals shut out the Eagles for the 1-0 win.

Blythewood is set to face Dreher in a non-region game at home on Friday at 7 p.m.
