Bengals defeat Mid-Carolina

BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood girls lacrosse picked up a big win over Mid-Carolina last Wednesday.

At halftime, Blythewood led 7-0 and added 11 more goals in the second half for an 18-0 shutout of the Rebels.

Junior Rebecca Carter led the Bengals with eight goals. Senior Isabella Clarke had four goals and Avery Thye, a sophomore, had two. Licza Lobo, Lacey Myers, Taylor Harman and Riley Robinson had a goal each.

Thye and Carter each had two assists. Lobo, Harman and Clarke all had one.

Tia Myers had four ground balls. Rebecca Carter, Lobo, Robinson and Harman had three. Ava Brock tallied two ground balls, and Huff, Myers and Lauren Waguespack had one. Myers, Lobo, Thye and Carter were each credited with a caused turnover. Kennedy Gooden had one save on goal, and Anika Stears had two.

The Bengals fell to Spring Valley 6-11 on Friday. They are set to host Lexington on Monday and AC Flora on Thursday.
