Blythewood’s ready for July 3 fireworks

BLYTHEWOOD – The Town of Blythewood’s annual July 3 fireworks event is set for 5-10 p.m., Saturday, July 3, in Doko Meadows Park in downtown Blythewood.

More than 20 food vendors are expected including the Donut Guy, Scotties, Doko Smoke and more. Luna Trix Arts Playground will bring entertainment for kids and the music begins at 5 p.m. with Mason Horne, from 5 – 5:45 p.m.; Blues Deluxe from 6 – 7 p.m. and DB Bryant from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.

“This is a family-friendly event and it draws thousands every year,” Director of the Doko Manor and Events Steve Hasterok said. “We invite everyone to bring your own lawn chairs. It’s a lot of fun and if the weather holds, it should be another big crowd. So plan to come on out and enjoy.”

Note: There is no parking allowed on McLean Road which will be blocked with barriers.

No coolers allowed.
