WINNSBORO – Vadris “Sunshine” Thigpen, 57, of Winnsboro passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021. Born in St. Louis, MS, he was the son of the late Vadris Lee Thigpen and Mary Elizabeth Denton.
He is survived by his daughter, Calee Thigpen; brother, Vernon Duwayne Thompson; sister, Valencia Justice (Chuck); and nieces, Emily and Carson.
A memorial service celebrating his life was held at 4 o’clock PM Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Pope Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Rescue Mission, PO Box 2090, Shelby, NC 28151.
