WINNSBORO – August means an end of summer break for Fairfield youth, but it also means the beginning of Fall sports seasons.
Registration for tackle football, flag football and soccer with the Fairfield County Recreation Dept. ends Thursday, Aug. 12. Sports are for ages 4 – 12; the age of the child on Aug. 1 will determine which age bracket they will compete in. The $20 registration fee covers equipment and uniform costs.
Gymnastics and dance classes will also resume in September. Gymnastics, which costs $20 per month, meets on Wednesdays. Ages 3 – 5 meet from 4 – 4:30 p.m. Ages 6 and older meet from 3:15 – 5 p.m. or 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. Tap and Ballet classes ($30/month) for ages 3 – 5 meet on Thursdays from 4 – 4:45 p.m. Hip-hop classes ($35/month) for ages 6 and older meet from 4:45 – 5:30 p.m.
