Free rabies shots offered at Sheriff’s Sept. 25 event

WINNSBORO – The Sheriff’s office is throwing a party at Drawdy Park for the community.

“We’re inviting everyone to join us for fun, fellowship and food on Saturday, Sept. 25,” Sheriff Will Montgomery announced last week.

“We’ll have free hot dogs, rinks, games, presentations by the Fairfield County Rescue Squad, EMS, Fire Department, Highway Patrol and SLED,” he said.

And bring your dog or cat! Fairfield County animal shelter will provide free rabies shots along with a free bag of dog or cat food.

Fairfield Medical Associates will offer blood pressure checks and COVID vaccines.

Bounce Houses will be provided by LOVE Never Fails, and the Fairfield County recreation will be on hand to coordinate games.

“This is our way of showing our community that we care about you and that we are here for you,” Montgomery said.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Drawdy Park.
