Local youth golfers place 3rd in regional tourney

WILLIAMSBURG, VA – Blythewood residents Brock Dillensnyder, 11, William Floyd, 13, and Nolan Palmer, 12, are members of the Par Tee 13u All-Stars of West Columbia. The 13U team placed 3rd in the National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Regional at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va., this weekend.

 For the 13u players, day one (Saturday) of the regional consisted of an 18-hole aggregate stroke play scramble competition, counting the top three of four scores. Par Tee shot an aggregate total of 223, ending day one in fourth place. On Sunday, Par Tee faced Maryland-based MOCO South, vying for third place. Using PGA Jr. League 9-hole, two-person scramble match play format on Sunday, Par Tee All-Stars defeated the MOCO South All-Stars, 6.5 to 5.5. 

 The PGA Jr. League is divided into four Section Champions from each of the 12 Regions across the country. 12 Regional Champions from the 13u age division advance to the National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship in Scottsdale, AZ on in October.
