RIDGEWAY – Ronald Jerome Murphy, 80, of Ridgeway passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021. Born in Winnsboro, he was the son of the late Samuel Theodore and Helen Clack Murphy.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rose Gunter Murphy; three daughters, Jeri Lynn Murphy Rabon (Keith), Crystal Lane Murphy Potter (Chris), and Kim Murphy Smith (Eric); two brothers, Jerry Wayne Murphy (Lorraine) and Ricky Dean Murphy; five grandchildren, Aaron Gabriel Solis (Faye), Jerome Anthony Rabon, Christopher Ronald Murphy (Caroline), Kyle Robert Smith, and Victoria Rose Potter; and two great grandchildren, Adam Gabriel Solis, and Addison Yvette Solis.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is predeceased by three sisters, Eleanor Murphy, Sandra Kay Murphy, and Linda Faye Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock PM Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Sawney’s Creek Baptist Church conducted by Reverend Dean Reynolds. Burial will follow in the church’s Original Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the church.
