COLUMBIA – The Post and Courier’s annual Power List of 30 people who have helped shape the city this past year includes Fairfield’s own Teresa Wilson who has held the position of Columbia City Manager and led the City’s executive team for the past 11 years.
Wilson was honored this year specifically for working to support City residents through the devastation of Hurricane Helene and supported and defended the decision to raise parking meter rates to help keep up with the city’s services.
According to the City’s website, Willson has received a number of honors during her career. She has been recognized as one of Columbia’s “Top 20 Under 40” Business Professionals, one of Columbia Business Monthly’s “50 Most Influential People” for multiple years, and one of Southeast Small Business Magazine’s “Top Women of Influence.” Her induction into Columbia Business Monthly’s “Hall of Fame” in 2018 further solidified her reputation as a trailblazer in municipal leadership.
Last year, Wilson was elected President of the South Carolina City and County Management Association.
