BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood High School junior Chase Thomas scored her point number 1,000 in a Dec. 13 matchup against Chapin High School as the Bengals downed the Eagles 81-32.
Thomas, who is in her third year lettering for Blythewood, is averaging 21.9 points per game as of Dec. 19. She is also averaging 10.6 rebounds per game and has gotten five double-doubles in nine games this season.
Behind Thomas, India Williams and Hayley Hightower, who are also juniors, the Bengals went on a 9-0 stretch to start the season, but fell to a tough Dutch Fork squad in tournament play on Dec. 21. The Silver Foxes outlasted the Bengals to take a 65-51 final. They played Byrnes on Monday, but scores were not available prior to The Voiuce’s press deadline. They return to action against Dillon on Thursday.
