Don’t miss Blythewood’s Winter Pick-up Market

BLYTHEWOOD – For those who miss shopping at the weekly spring-summer-fall Blythewood Farmers Market every Wednesday afternoon, there is now an abbreviated market that’s open one day each month. It’s called the Winter Pick-up Market.

“We offer a number of items,” Market Director Michaelo Barno said. “It’s primarily breads, meats, eggs and some winter garden produce, no crafts. Subscribers to the market’s newsletter receive notifications of the dates and times of the market days as well as the vendors that will be participating. The subscribers order ahead and then swing by and pick up their purchases.”

The winter pick-up markets are held at Doko Park from 4 – 5 p.m., and there are two dates left to pick-up – Feb. 12 and March 12 – before the regular market opens up again in April.

To find out more about how to participate in the Winter Pick-up Market, go to the Blythewood Farmers Market website and sign up for the newsletter.
