The Grieving Needs Foundation touches 127 lives through 2024 Giving Tree Project

FAIRFIELD COUNTY — The Grieving Needs Foundation brought support, comfort and joy to 127 individuals through its 2024 Giving Tree Project this holiday season.

This year’s initiative provided stockings for 3 adult daycares, gifts and resources for 59 seniors, assistance to 11 families, gifts for 68 individuals, and gifts for 3 veterans.

“We are incredibly grateful to our donors, volunteers, and partners who helped us make this season brighter for so many in our community,” said Shamieka Johnson Sims, Co-Founder. “This project represents the heart of our mission to bring hope and healing to those in need.”

The Grieving Needs Foundation works year-round to support individuals and families experiencing loss, grief, and hardship. The Giving Tree Project is one of many initiatives that highlights the organization’s commitment to serving vulnerable populations with compassion and care.
