BLYTHEWOOD – Tyler Stephens scored 20 points to lead the Blythewood boys basketball team to a 50-34 victory at Lugoff-Elgin Friday night.
The Bengals (19-3, 8-1) followed up with a 69-34 win over West Florence (1-18, 0-9) Tuesday night. T.J. Lewis scored 26 points to lead Blythewood.
In the girls game Friday night, juniors India Williams, Chase Thomas, and Hayley Hightower combined for 66 points to lead the Blythewood girls (22-1, 9-0) to an 85-21 victory over Lugoff-Elgin (8-15, 0-8). Williams scored 23 points, Thomas added 22 points, and Hightower put up 21 points.
On Tuesday the Bengals beat West Florence (2-14, 1-5) 69-34.
Blythewood’s boys and girls play host to Sumter Friday.
Because the Blythewood wrestling team hosted the upper state final against Boiling Springs Wednesday, the Bengals game against Ridge View, originally scheduled for Wednesday, on Saturday at 2 p.m.
