WINNSBORO – Following a second place region finish in the regular season, Richard Winn’s girls took on region champion Wardlaw Academy in the title game of the region tournament on Saturday.
The Eagles, who fell by double-digit margins to Wardlaw during the season, dropped a close three-point game to finish second in tournament play.
Abby Lewis and Mary Margaret Swearingen received All-Tournament recognition. Lewis and Haley Autry were named All Region.
The Eagles will face Mead Hall to open SCISA 1A playoffs on Friday at 4 p.m. at the Sumter Civic Center.
