WINNSBORO – Fairfield Central’s boys’ basketball team clinched some region hardware and a perfect 10-0 region record last Thursday with a 47-44 win over Clinton High School.

Thomas Johnson led the Griffins with 19 points and 15 rebounds – his second double-double of the season. Rashawn Brown had 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. Khaleb Feaster tallied 11 rebounds and a team-high six assists.

Liberty managed to outlast Fairfield, taking home the two-point 43-41 win and ending the Griffins’ season short of a title run.
