Geneva Bell

Fairfield County’s oldest citizen, Geneva Bell, 108, of Ridgeway, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025.

Mother Bell leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and wisdom.  Born in a time of great change, she lived a life filled with grace, devotion, and an unwavering love for her family.

Mother Bell found her greatest joy in reading her bible, drawing strength from its words each day. Her faith was the foundation of her life. Guiding her through every season with kindness and humility.

She cherished her loved ones deeply, always offering a warm smile, a listening ear, and words of encouragement. An avid admirer of nature, Mother Bell had a special love for flowers, delighting in their beauty and the simple joys they brought to her days.

In quieter moments, she could often be found watching western movies, captivated by the stories of courage and adventure.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.  Her life was a testament to love, faith, and perseverance, and her memory will forever bloom like the flowers she adored.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025, 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. 4491 Park Road, in Ridgeway. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.
