
BLYTHEWOOD – The numbers speak for themselves: 10 wins. 10 shutouts. 5 game win streak. 51 goals scored. 3 goals given up.
Blythewood’s girls’ soccer team rolled through Ridge View this week for a 14-0 win, their tenth of the season and sixth in region play.
Sophomore Caroline Powell led the Bengals with three goals. Mia Hendry and Ava Ayres had two goals each.
Mayla Wolf, Daniella Bosmans, Amiyah Watts, Lauren Thye, Cassidy Haddock, Mallorie Hogue and Autumn Newton scored one each.
Hogue had a team-high three assists. Hendry had two. Josie Woodley, Alana Fluker, Regan Flynn and Ayres had one assist apiece.
Last week the Bengals downed Sumter 7-0 at home.
Powell scored two goals in the win. Reagan Flynn, Haddock, Thye, Riley Flinn and Ayres each scored one.
Hendry led with three assists. Newton, Fluker, and Ayres had one assist each.
Goalie Tiyanna Mack had one save.
The Bengals, now 6-0 in region play, will travel to Westwood Friday for a 7 p.m. game. Next week, they’ll have region games with Spring Valley (at home on Tuesday) and Lugoff-Elgin (away on Friday).
Following Spring Break, the Bengals will step outside region play with a game at Chapin before wrapping the regular season with Ridge View, West Florence and Sumter.
