LongCreek riders compete at Nationals April 22-26

BLYTHEWOOD – LongCreek Equestrian Stable’s High School IEA (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) team has advanced to the National Championships. The team will fly to St. Louis, MO for the competition set for April 22-26. The riders will compete against the top riders in each Zone across the United States and Canada.

LongCreek Equestrian is a member of Zone 4, Region 5, and competed recently at Zone competition in Tryon, NC against riders from Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, South Carolina & Tennessee. The LongCreek team was named reserve Champions, qualifying them for the National Championship competition later next.

The following team members advancing to Nationals are: Karleigh Blackwell (Blythewood High School) will compete in Open Division 2’6” fences, Riley Hooks (Cardinal Newman) will compete in Varsity Intermediate 2’ fences, Nathan Brunson (Richard Winn) JV Novice over fences, Callie Johnson (Cardinal Newman) JV Novice, and Madilynn Inman (Blythewood High School) JV on the flat. The team’s coach is Katelyn Blackwell.
