Trinity Learning Center closing

BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood’s Trinity UMC announced in a press release last week that it will close the Trinity Learning Center effective Aug. 15.

“This was not a decision made lightly,” the release stated. “The TLC has been serving the Blythewood community for over 27 years but due to the availability of services at local schools and private learning centers, our declining enrollment will no longer support the TLC.”

In addition to declining enrollment, the release stated that the high cost of operation and the availability of qualified teachers has made it difficult to maintain the levels of teaching and learning the TLC is known for providing.

“The high reputation the TLC has earned over the years and the memories that so many students and parents have are a result of the dedication of wonderful teachers and administrators over the years,” the release stated.

Parents who have already paid their enrollment for the fall will receive refunds, according to the release, and should contact the school administration for assistance. All questions regarding the closing should be directed to the TLC administrative staff.
