CAMDEN – Richard Winn cross country season is well-underway. The Eagles hit the course in Camden on Tuesday for a meet with runners from 11 schools.
With only four runners, the Eagle girls’ team did not qualify a score, but standout Hayden Branham took first place out of 65 runners with a time of 20:48.74. Lillian Trapp finished second for the Eagles and 15th overall at 24:22.91.
Euan Fleisher took first for the Eagle boys, in 37th place out of 101 runners at 21:25.70. Liam Fleisher finished behind Euan at 23:57.39.
Over the weekend, the Eagles ran in the Highlander Invitational at Heathwood Hall. Branham finished in 32nd place out of 289 runners with a time of 20:25.49.
Euan Fleisher was the top boys’ finisher with a time of 20:46.91 for 253rd place out of 354 runners.
The Eagles will compete again on Sept. 16 at the Thorn Trail Run in Chester.
