BLYTHEWOOD – IGA was first opened in Blythewood on McNulty St in 1985 by Nick Thomas, according to Blythewood Historical Society and Museum records. After 41 years and two locations, IGA officially re-opened as Kj’s Market on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m.

Wednesday’s shoppers enjoyed coupons for freebies, a fresh new store look, lots of new items on the shelves, and homemade biscuits at the Bluebird Café.
