WINNSBORO – Downtown Winnsboro was glowing bright on Saturday, Oct. 25, as runners, walkers, and families came together for the Law Dog Glow Run 5K Festival, a community fundraiser supporting the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit.

The event, held in the Magistrate’s parking lot on S. Congress Street, blended fitness, fun, and fellowship with a full evening of activities.

The celebration began with a trunk-or-treat at 6 p.m., followed by a 5K Glow Walk at 7 p.m. and the main Glow Run at 8 p.m. Participants dressed in neon and glow gear, lighting up the streets with color, laughter, and community spirit.

Attendees enjoyed live music, food trucks, raffles, and K9 demonstrations, while children racked up on candy.

The Sheriff’s Office said it was “an unforgettable night in downtown Winnsboro,” thanking the community for its strong turnout and support.

All proceeds from the event went to benefit the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit, helping fund equipment, training, and care for the department’s hardworking dogs.
