Joyce Viola Lemmon Haigler

Joyce Viola Lemmon Haigler, a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of South Carolina, Joyce will forever be remembered for her gentle heart, creative spirit, and the deep love she shared with everyone around her.

Born on November 2, 1943, to Bob and EssieMae Lemmon, Joyce grew up in a close-knit family that taught her the values of kindness, compassion, and faith—qualities she carried throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Donna Marie Haigler, whom she now rejoins in eternal peace.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Lewis “Buddy” Haigler; her grandson Michael “Trey” Padua; and her great-grandson Raylan Ramsey Haigler, who was truly the light of her life.

Joyce had a gift for finding beauty in everyday life. She loved photography, capturing countless moments that told the story of her family and friends. Through scrapbooking, she transformed those memories into keepsakes that will be cherished for generations. She adored her dogs and showered them with the same love and care she gave to everyone she met.

Known for her generous heart, Joyce found joy in giving—whether it was a thoughtful gift, a warm meal, or simply her time and listening ear. She took care of everyone around her, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

In honor of her wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. A private celebration of life for friends and family will be held at her home to honor and remember the beautiful life she lived.

Joyce’s kindness, creativity, and unwavering love will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day.”
