CAMDEN – The Richard Winn Senior Varsity girls’ sporting clay squad is coming home with a state trophy.
The Eagles hit the mark on Saturday, Feb. 29, at the Hermitage Sporting Grounds in Camden, securing the 2026 SCISA State Sporting Clay Championship. The trio of Abby Lewis, Charlotte Lewis, and Emmaleigh McInvaille bested their 2025 third-place finish to finally claim the title. They combined for a team score of 222, outperforming second-place Wilson Hall (212) and third-place Thomas Sumter (193).
Abby Lewis led the way for the Eagles with a dominant performance, hitting 91 targets to earn the Highest Over All (HOA) for the girls’ division. Her precision was not only the best among the girls but rivaled the top scores in the entire competition.
Lewis’s 91 targets placed her just behind the boys’ HOA winner, Mackie Bowers of Thomas Heyward (93).
Charlotte Lewis provided a strong secondary score for the Eagles with a 76, while Emmaleigh McInvaille rounded out the championship total with a 60.
The victory adds another state title to what has become a model program in SCISA sporting clays.
