Republican Tom Mullikin, center, managing partner with Mullikin Law Firm in Camden, announced his candidacy Tuesday evening for the U.S. House of Representatives in South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District, a seat currently held by Mick Mulvaney. Mulvaney has recently been nominated by President Donald Trump to become head of the Office of Management and Budgets. The announcement was made during a reception hosted by a bi-partisan group at Mission Ridge Country Club in Winnsboro. With Mullikin are: the Rev. Jimmy Burroughs (Director, Good Samaritan House), Vanessa Reynolds, Wanda Carnes (owner and broker for Fairfield Properties) and Fairfield County Councilman Jimmy Ray Douglas.
