Council fills four seats on BAR

BLYTHEWOOD – Blythewood Town Council went with experience when voting unanimously to fill two vacancies on the Board of Architectural Review Monday evening. Former town mayor Keith Bailey was appointed to fill seat 1 on the board and former town councilman and president of the Doko Park Foundation Paul Moscati to seat 6.

Council also re-appoint Gail Coston and Alan George to the board. Bailey’s seat will expire September 30, 2021. Coston, Moscati and George will served until September 30, 2023.

The BAR reviews applications for certificates of appropriateness in the Town Center and architectural overlay district.

There is also one vacancy on the Board of Zoning Appeals which reviews land use issues, including proposed variations from the Town’s zoning ordinance; special uses that require review to determine compatibility with adjacent properties and appeals of decisions made by the zoning administrator.
