New date, time set for Dec. Council meeting

BLYTHEWOOD – The Blythewood town council meeting that is usually held the fourth Monday of every month, has been rescheduled for December to accommodate the holidays.

The next regular meeting will be held Wednesday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Manor.

Town Administrator Carroll Williamson said a report on the town’s annual audit will be presented at the meeting.

Other business will likely include voting to hire a new town attorney. Council has met in executive session several times in the last couple of weeks to interview candidates.

Attorney Shannon Burnett resigned her position as the Town’s municipal attorney on Sept. 16. Since that time she has worked for the Town on an as-needed basis, with the Town paying her at her regular rate in an hourly arrangement.

The agenda for the Dec. 15 meeting is expected to be released on Monday, according to Williamson.
