“We are excited to announce that Dr. Tracie Swilley has been named the SCASA Secondary Principal of the Year,” said Beth Phibbs, Executive Director of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. “She has earned a reputation for developing positive relationships with students, parents, and her community. Dr. Swilley works with her teachers to build an environment that encourages cooperation and personal growth—providing her faculty with an empowering atmosphere to better serve their students.”

Superintendent of the Fairfield County School District, Dr. J.R. Green added, “Dr. Swilley arrived at Fairfield Central High over a decade ago committed to creating a culture where students could thrive academically, athletically, and artistically. As superintendent, I have witnessed the outstanding leadership she has provided the students and staff of Fairfield Central High School.

“However, I have been even more impressed with her leadership through the lens of a parent who has had three daughters graduate during her tenure. She loves the students she has been given the privilege to serve and embraces her responsibility to produce not only good students, but good people.

“Dr. Swilley is a phenomenal leader who is most deserving of this recognition,” he said.
