The Voice of Blythewood & Fairfield County

A Vote for Lewis

Next Tuesday, the runoff election for Fairfield County Sheriff will be held. Both candidates, Keith Lewis and Will Montgomery, are fine men and knowledgeable in the law enforcement field. I personally am supporting and voting for Mr. Lewis and feel he is the better candidate for the position.

Fortunately for Fairfield County residents, either man will make a fine sheriff and for once we don’t have to choose between two less qualified individuals or those where we say, “well I have to vote for one of them.” Unlike past and present state and local elections where whichever person we vote in, the public turns out to be the loser, this race has been well run, well organized and has aroused a passionate fan base for both men.

I especially am happy to see the enthusiasm for Mr. Montgomery’s campaign and hope these young people can put their passion into other races as well, mainly in the County Council, as those currently on Council who are not in touch with or have lost the confidence of their constituents need to be replaced.

Please vote on Oct. 14 and Nov. 4 and let’s have Fairfield County be the winner.
