WINNSBORO: A memorial service for Steve Jones, age 66, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at Pope Funeral Home, conducted by Pastor Steve Stone. The family will receive friends after the service.
Mr. Jones died in his home on Sunday, July 29, 2012. He was born in Winnsboro, S.C. on Jan. 18, 1946 and was the son of the late James Paul and Katie Sharpe Jones Sr. He worked in maintenance for Uniroyal and Plastech. His passion was automotive repair and maintenance.
Mr. Jones is survived by two sons, Wesley Jones (Lori), Brian Jones (Melinda); a daughter, Tammy McCullar (JC); two brothers, James Paul “Bug” Jones Jr., William “Billy” Richard Jones; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Jones and James “Jimmy” Cameron Jones, as well as a sister, Mary Jones Broxton.
The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation for the many kindnesses received from Regency Hospice and Dr. Butler of SC Oncology Associates.
