Change Agent –

Mrs. Beaudell Hendrix, 97, the oldest member of Gethsemane Baptist Church, is a believer in the ballot. She knows that every time a ballot is cast that the future for others gets brighter. She recognizes the struggle of other African Americans before her who could not vote and encourages all ages to continue in the assignment for change. Although pressing a button for the President of the United States seems to be a simple task in the present, there is a legacy of blood, sweat and tears that makes the push of the button an “Amen” state of affairs for Mrs. Hendrix. She cast her ballot in at the Blair Fire Department in Fairfield County on Nov. 6, and stayed up until 2:30 a.m. to hear the election results.
