The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon Nov. 15, at the Cornwallis Tea Company. In addition to the ribbon cutting, tearoom owners, Jenny Praser (left) and her daughter Christina Fair invited the community to a grand opening of the new business from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. that day serving sandwiches and an array of homemade decadent sweets. Cornwallis Tea Company is located at 141 S. Congress St. next to Yellow Daisy. Praser and Fair also own Winnsboro’s historic Cornwallis house where they have, for several years, blended teas that they sell on the internet.
