Jennie Lee Lever Hollis

BLYTHEWOOD – Jennie Lee Lever Hollis, 100, of Blythewood, died Saturday, May 4, 2013. Born Dec. 2, 1912 in Columbia, S.C., she was a daughter of the late David Edward Lever and Janie Maybelle Smith Lever. Mrs. Hollis was a charter member of Fair Lawn United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, David Wilson “Buddy” (Kay) Hollis; grandchildren, Jennie H. (Wayne) Price, Cindy H. (Ray) Hyatt, Beth H. (Chris) Lanier; great-grandchildren, David W. (Angela) Price, C. Shawn Lanier, A. Blythe Lanier; great-great-grandchildren, Shelbie Yarborough, Timothy Yarborough; brother, Amos Lever; and grand-dog, Gracie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mose Mobley Hollis; and 11 brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Mrs. Hollis were held at 12 o’clock, Tuesday, May 7 at Fair Lawn United Methodist Church, 9203 Wilson Blvd., Columbia. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service beginning 10 o’clock in the church. Memorials may be made to either Fair Lawn United Methodist, or to Heartstrings Hospice, 115 Blarney Dr., Columbia, S.C. 29223.
