Wanting to show off their town to visitors, Ridgeway shop owners Tina Johnson (Over the Top Emporium), center, and Jenny Price (co-owner of The Cotton Yard Market), right, purchased a big red billboard to catch the attention of southbound travelers on I-77. The billboard is posted at exit 40, and instructs motorists to exit at the next exit (34) for Ridgeway. “It’s something we wanted to do not just for our shops, but for all the shops in our town,” Johnson said. At left is Terry Vickers, president of the Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce. Vickers works with area shop owners to bring tourists and shoppers to Fairfield County and Blythewood.
