The Bengals’ boys’ swim team took second place behind Spring Valley Sept. 28 in the 4A Region IV meet in Irmo. The Lady Bengals, meanwhile, finished third behind Irmo and Spring Valley.
Sean Bell, Josh Baker, David Foong and Garret Williams won the medley relay for the Bengals, while Williams took first in the 50 and 100 freestyle events. Bell also took second in the 100 backstroke, Baker second in the 100 breaststroke, Foong second in the 200 IM and 100 fly, and Brendan Gillan second in the 200 freestyle. Bell, Gillan, Foong and Williams also took second in the 400 freestyle relay.
Emily Hudson earned second in the 200 IM and 400 freestyle and Anna Ross was good for second in the 200 freestyle and 100 fly.
