Lady Bengals Sweep Through First Round

BLYTHEWOOD – The Lady Bengals opened up the Class 4A state volleyball playoffs Tuesday, taking down Woodmont in three straight sets, 25-16, 25-8 and 25-20.

Bijonae Jones led the Lady Bengals with 15 kills, 11 aces and 19 digs. Di’Ahrah Hall trenched out 17 digs on 12 service receptions, while Azhia Carter had 12 kills and an ace. Leah Gunter came up with 12 digs, 33 assists and a pair of kills.

Round two is slated for Thursday (Oct. 31), with opponent and location unavailable at press time.
