Greiner Goes in Third Round

BLYTHEWOOD – University of S.C. catcher and Blythewood High School alum Grayson Greiner was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the third round of the MLB draft last week.

Greiner, the 99th overall pick in the 2014 draft, has reportedly agreed to terms with the Tigers and at press time, was on his way to the Tigers’ Spring Training facility in Lakeland, Fla. where he was scheduled to undergo his physical before entering the Tigers’ Minor League system.
