Tessa, a cat being housed at the Fairfield Animal Rescue facility in Winnsboro, recently underwent emergency surgery for mega esophagus, which prevented food from getting to her stomach for nutrition. As a result of the condition, Tessa was always hungry and was slowly starving to death. The surgery and associated costs came to $3,650 for which donations are being requested online at gofundme.com.
