Tastes Like Summer –

The Fairfield Arts Council’s regular monthly meeting at the Century House in Ridgeway on Tuesday evening was more than just a meeting of the members. Fifty or so guests were treated to a tomato tasting – tomato chips, tomato pie, tomato salsa, tomato sandwiches, tomato casseroles and many more things tomato – followed by a Patsy Cline Evening featuring singer Jean Watkins from Hartsville. Shown here in the tomato buffet line are Marcus Pettaway of Winnsboro and his son, Marcus Jr., 8, whose artwork was on display; singer Jean Watkins; Ridgeway merchant Tina Johnson and Virginia Lacy, president of the FCAC. The next FCAC meeting is scheduled for Sept. 9 at the Century House.
