Blythewood poet Kelley Lannigan (far right) with U.S. Inaugural Poet Richard Blanco at a recent poetry workshop in North Carolina. Blanco composed the poem, “One Today,” that was read at President Barak Obama’s second inaugural ceremony in 2013. Lannigan was one of 12 poets selected to participate in the advanced poetry workshop in conjunction with the 2015 Lanier Library Poetry Festival in Tryon last month.
