Blythewood’s Salkehatchie is in full swing, and the first work-day meal was served at noon on Monday at Fair Lawn Methodist Church on Fairfield Road. More than 100 students converged on the town last weekend prepared to make repairs to six homes in the community. The annual good work will end on Sunday. Lining up for lunch are, Kevin Thomas (job supervisor), Blythewood teens Caitlin Smoot, Nate and Lydia Hinson, Jessica Parks, Michaela Wickham and meal coordinator Denise Jones.
