BLYTHEWOOD – The Bengals recorded an impressive victory Sept. 2 in a race with Westwood, Eau Claire and Columbia High. Blythewood runners took nine of the top 10 places in the meet, and the Bengals narrowly missed a perfect meet score by only 2 points.
Leading the way for the Bengals was junior Josh Bowers, who placed first overall in a time of 17 minutes and 48 seconds. Other top finishers were K.J. Mack (second in 17:53), Caleb Wilson (third in 18:19), Amir McCall (fifth in 18:47) and Will Beacham (sixth in 19:05).
The Bengals return to action on Sept. 12 at the Coaches Classic in Columbia.
