Blythewood Town Council Candidates: Robert Rue

Robert Rue Headshot copyRobert Rue

(4-year term)

I want to be your Councilman because I want to make an appreciable difference in the lives of my fellow residents and to the town of Blythewood itself. My platform is that of fiscal responsibility and education enhancement. I want to be a voice for standards in the classroom, elevating our children’s learning experiences, and making sure we make the most of the money in our coffers. I am a married father of three sons (one of which attends Westwood High School), an online adjunct professor for four universities, and a retired military officer with 20 years of service. I am a 2010 MBA graduate, 2011 Master of Arts in Management and Leadership graduate, and am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Business Administration program with Wilmington University.

I have followed politics for many years and have dedicated my life to the service of others. My personal mantra is “Doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people” and I enjoy helping people succeed in life while they achieve their goals. Education is important to me and I will do all that I can to ensure our children have every opportunity to attend college and exceed national education standards. I look forward to bringing more businesses to Blythewood and enabling more job growth and creation. I look forward to serving my community and growing even larger over the next four years!
