On Saturday, Dec. 20, the Cookie Elves of Blythewood, Winnsboro and Ridgeway filled more than 50 trays of homemade cookies and fudge to be distributed by Cookie Deliverers to seniors, shut-ins and others in the three communities who the Elves feel need a visit, some Christmas cheer and a tray of cookies. The cookie day has become a tradition that the Elves say they look forward to. Over the years, the group has prepared hundreds of trays for delivery, every year sending out more. Five of the Elves, Beth Collins, Mitzi Davenport, Norma Branham, Phyllis Gutierrez and Denise Jones, wrap and ready the last of this year’s cookie trays.
