BLACKSTOCK – Eddie Walton Montgomery III, 32, of Spartanburg, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016. Born Dec. 15, 1983 in Spartanburg County, he was the son of Eddie and Carolyn Montgomery Jr. He worked for Ellis Key and Lock, was a member of Concord Presbyterian Church and served in the United States Army Reserves for 6 years.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Evie Montgomery and Savannah Montgomery both of Sherrills Ford, N.C.; brothers, Darryl Montgomery of Spartanburg and Will Montgomery of Blackstock; sister, Kimberly Cabaniss of Blackstock; and grandparents, Eddie and Linda Montgomery, Jim Brice, and William and Faye Edge.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sarah Brice, Nadine Bagwell Hutchins and Leroy Hutchins.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2016 at Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 12646 US Highway 321 N. Blackstock, S.C. 29014 conducted by the Rev. Mark Griffith. The family will receive friends after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eddie’s memory to Concord Presbyterian Church, 12646 US HWY 321 N. Blackstock, S.C. 29014.
