Quilt of Valor volunteer quilters Donna Royson, Pat Harwell, Carolyn Lomas and Duane Walker display one of thousands of quilts produced by quilters for the Quilts of Valor program for veterans. Royson was the featured speaker at the second of a series of Quilt Gatherings sponsored by the Historical Society of Blythewood. The third Gathering will be held at the Langford-Nord House on July 14 from 6 – 8 p.m. Carolyn Lomas, quilter and president of the Historical Society, will be the featured speaker on the subject of ‘English Paper Piecing.’ For more information about the program, go to krs@kemsmithcpa.
