Linda served as Mayor of Blythewood and on the Blythewood Town Council, the Planning Commission and was a founding member of the Blythewood Historical Society. She volunteered for 10 years at the Cooperative Ministry and Christian Assistant Bridge. Many other organizations benefited from her selflessness.

Linda was a born hostess and entertainer who loved to garden, cook, decorate and gather with loved ones. Most notably she had a spirit of generosity and consideration for others that made everyone around her feel loved and welcomed. Her family and harvest of close friends will continue to be inspired by her example of loyalty and true friendship.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, 832 Ridgeway Road, Lugoff. Memorial services will take place Wednesday, July 27, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Blythewood at 1 pm. Interment will follow at the Centerville Cemetery in Ridgeway, S.C.
