COLUMBIA (Dec. 7, 2016) – A Blythewood man succumbed last week to injuries sustained in a dirt bike accident on Nov. 26.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said Michael J. Fowler, 25, of Cooper Road, Blythewood, was riding with two other bikers on private property in the 1500 block of Hardscrabble Road on Nov. 26 when his bike collided with another motorbike. Fowler was transported by Richland County EMS to Palmetto Health Richland Medical Hospital.
Watts said Fowler died at 4:45 p.m. on Nov. 28 from a subdural hemorrhage caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
