Run/Walk last week, hosted by Charles Ringwalt of WLTX 19 in honor of Alcohol Awareness Month. It is our aim to help spread awareness about the dangers and negative impact of alcohol abuse and underage drinking that can affect the individual, the family and the community.

This year we had 232 registered, with 163 participants, including 43 runners and 120 walkers. Staff displayed a shirt from each year’s walk to show where it all began.

“It has been a great honor and pleasure to plan this event for the past seven years,” Veronica D. Edmonds, Prevention Coordinator said.

Of the 13 teams participating, Bible Light Holiness Church took home 1st Place and $200 for the sixth consecutive year, St John Baptist Church won 2nd Place and $150 and Blackjack Baptist Church won 3rd Place and $100.

Fairfield Behavioral Health Services would like to extend a special thanks to all those who made the event possible this year including our 25 sponsors, multiple contributors and volunteers, our board members, and EMCEE Charles

Ringwalt for making this walk a huge success for us and the local community. We would also like to thank all of those from the past 20 years as well for making this event possible. Official race results are posted on www.strictlyrunning.com and official photographs will be uploaded to our website www.farifieldbhs.org and our Facebook page soon.
